Small industrial units (without flammables/hazardous materials), office environments, small retail, leisure, gyms.

Aims:

To provide participants with practical experience of using fire extinguishers safely and effectively.

Objectives:

  • At the end of the course participants will have:

  • Gained knowledge of the principles of extinguishing fires;

  • Identified the classes of fires for extinguishing purposes;

  • Gained knowledge of the selection and use of the most appropriate fire extinguisher for the fire to be fought;

  • Gained knowledge of the general safety precautions when using fire extinguishers;

  • Extinguished fires in controlled environments.

Considered Medium RiskĀ 

 

Designed for:

Medium/large offices or call centres, medium retail shops, small residential care homes, educational premises (up to 250 pupils), warehouses, small factories with little flammable or hazardous materials used as part of a production process or stored on site (e.g. fuel, acetylene), restaurants with up to 100 seating, car maintenance garages, leisure centres with swimming pools.

Aim:

To give personnel a clear understanding of the duties of a Fire Warden and to effectively carry out the role.

At the end of the course participants will:

  • Understand the importance of training

  • Have an understanding of Fire and Fire Procedures

  • Understand the Role and Responsibilities of the Fire Warden

  • Be able to correctly and safely select and use a fire extinguisher

  • Assist with fire safety within your company and raise awareness in others

Considered High RiskĀ 

 

Designed for:

Premises with multiple occupants/life risk (e.g. shopping complex, food court), large restaurants with 100 plus seating, large residential care homes and specialist care homes (e.g. dementia), educational premises with 250 plus pupils, large warehouse, factories with flammable and hazardous materials used as part of the production process or stored on site.

Aim:

To give personnel a clear understanding of the duties of a Fire Warden and to effectively carry out the role.
