Delyn Safety UK Ltd are delighted to hold Gold Learning Partner status from NEBOSH – the world’s leading accreditation body for the health and safety industry – which is an official seal of approval for their delivery of health and safety courses.
We currently deliver twelve accredited NEBOSH courses – from a range of one day Award level courses, the General Certificate in Occupational Safety and Health, the Certificate in Fire Safety the National Certificate in Environmental Management, and the National Construction Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety up to the National Diploma and Environmental Diploma.

The Personal Learning Account (PLA) Programme provides support across Wales for employed people to gain higher level skills which will enable individuals to access a wider range of job opportunities and/or gain employment at a higher level.
The primary aim of the PLA programme is to enable people to upskill and reskill in priority sectors; to improve their career and earnings potential, and to help raise the median income in Wales. The scheme will continue to focus on those currently earning below £30,596 per annum and on qualifications that have a proven track record of improving earnings.

Your NEBOSH Trainers
NEBOSH Team Leader – Basil Gillett
Basil has a background in health and safety support for the hotel industry. Including food safety courses, general health and safety, and is qualified to complete fire risk assessments for all industry sectors. As a NEBOSH trainer he provides both the general certificate and the NEBOSH 3-day award and has done for a number of years with great pass rates.
Tutor – David Phillips
Tutor – Elinor Richards
Elinor has over 20 years’ experience helping organisations from a wide range of sectors with their Safety, Health, Environment and Quality needs. Elinor delivers on the NEBOSH General Certificate and Environmental Certificate. As well as providing general SHEQ training, support and advice, she’s an accredited Fit2Fit RPE face fit tester and trained noise assessor.
Tutor – Mike Smith
Mike has many years’ experience both working in the construction industry and as a trainer and delivers the NEBOSH Construction course. Mike is also a CITB trainer and provides training country wide for the site safety plus suite of courses including HSA, SSSTS, SMSTS and refreshers.
Tutor – Paul MacGugan
Paul has around 40 years of knowledge and experience in the Fire industry earned mainly during time spent operationally during his Local Authority Fire Service career. He has also specialised in Fire Training throughout this time, from training basic recruits to operational Firefighters and training many in the business commercial and industrial sector, even international students. He currently enjoys delivering NEBOSH Fire training on – line, and many other Fire related courses for Delyn Safety.
Tutor – Steve Swygart
Steve has an extensive occupational heath & safety and environmental management background, gained in heavy engineering and various manufacturing industries, holds both NEBOSH Diplomas, is a Chartered Member of IOSH and an IOSH Mentor, and is also a Practitioner Member of IEMA. From an environmental perspective, he’s been responsible for a number of EA/NRW Permitted Sites. Before becoming responsible for EHS functions, Steve was a QA Manager in a wide variety of manufacturing industries, most notably in Tier 1 & 2 Automotive, looking after a number of global projects for customers such as Toyota, Honda, Nissan and Bosch.
As a NEBOSH tutor, Steve provides General Certificate and Environmental Management Diploma courses, plus many of our other 1-3 day courses.

Ron has over 10 years of experience as a trainer and is registered to deliver the NEBOSH General Certificate, Construction and Diploma and also holds accreditations for IOSH, NEBOSH, CITB, ECITB and EUSR.

In Andy’s background as a health & safety consultant, he has provided compliance support services to clients from a broad range of industries including construction, manufacturing, agriculture, education, transport, hospitality, and health & social care. Prior to this he worked in the Higher Education sector for nearly 15 years, where he was involved in event co-ordination, research and delivery of undergraduate teaching modules, gaining professional accreditation of my teaching practice. Nowadays he has combined my education and safety expertise together and bring these insights into my delivery of the NEBOSH qualifications with Delyn Safety, where he enjoys meeting students from a range of workplaces and backgrounds.
