The most common cause for a heart to stop is a heart attack.

This course is designed for those who may have the need to use a defibrillator to increase the chance of survival for a person who may suffer such an attack.

The outcome of the course is that the delegate will have gained the knowledge and confidence to use a defibrillator effectively to help increase the chances of survival.

  • Cardiac arrest,

  • CPR and recovery position,

  • The heart,

  • Angina,

  • Abnormal heart rhythms,

  • Resuscitation with an AED,

  • Safety considerations.

Those who have recent training in CPR, establishments that have assessed the need for a defibrillator to be available on their premises and healthcare professionals.
